Prices, limits and dates come from Freshworks' own pricing pages (English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch), its published price list and Freshservice support articles, with G2 reviews and Vendr benchmarks where Freshworks is silent. All were checked on 29 September 2026. No vendor reviewed or paid for this article. We did not run hands-on tests.

Freshservice pricing starts at $19 per agent per month for Starter, then $49 for Growth and $99 for Pro, all billed annually. Enterprise is priced on request (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Freshworks' German, French, Spanish and Dutch pricing pages list the same plans at €15, €40 and €84 (Freshworks DE, as of 29 Sep 2026).

The plan price is only part of the bill. AI, asset units, automation volume and occasional agents cost extra. Whether you are buying, renewing or planning a switch, this guide covers every line that moves the total.

Key takeaways

  • Freshservice lists Starter at $19, Growth at $49 and Pro at $99 per agent per month billed annually, with Enterprise on a custom quote (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  • Freshworks' localized EU pages list €15, €40 and €84. We found no pound-sterling plan prices (Freshworks DE, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  • Problem, change, release and major incident management start at Pro (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  • Freddy AI Copilot costs $29 (€29) per agent per month billed annually (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Freddy AI Agent Studio is free for Growth, Pro and Enterprise customers only until 31 December 2026 (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  • IT asset management is metered in asset units. A server counts as 4 units and a laptop as 1 (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Freshservice pricing at a glance

Freshservice is Freshworks' IT service management (ITSM) platform. Freshworks announced that it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Service Management Platforms (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). It is priced per agent, as listed below. For how it sits among other platforms, see our overview of the top ITSM tools in 2026.

Freshservice has no free plan, only a 14-day free trial with unrestricted access to all features. You can upgrade at any time, but downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your term (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Does monthly billing cost more?

Yes. The headline prices are annual. Freshworks' price list, dated 13 June 2025, puts monthly billing at $29, $59 and $119 for Starter, Growth and Pro, or $10 to $20 more per agent per month (Freshworks price list, as of 29 Sep 2026). Confirm the monthly figure at checkout.

Freshservice pricing in euros and pounds

Freshworks' German, French, Spanish and Dutch pricing pages all list Starter at €15, Growth at €40 and Pro at €84 per agent per month, billed annually (Freshworks DE, FR, ES, NL, as of 29 Sep 2026).

UK buyers get less clarity. We found no UK pricing page, and the English page shows US dollars only. Freshworks says it accepts checks and online transfers in USD, EUR and GBP for annual contracts (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Its price list gives pound prices only for add-ons, such as £23 per agent per month for Freddy AI Copilot on annual billing (Freshworks price list, as of 29 Sep 2026).

On hosting, Freshworks lists Freshservice regions in the US, EU, Australia, India and the Middle East (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). No UK region is listed.

Who counts as a paid agent in Freshservice?

You pay for agents, the people who work tickets (our explainer on how help desk ticketing systems work covers the roles), in three ways:

  • Full-time agents on your IT plan, at the per-agent prices above.
  • Occasional agents, such as a supervisor, use a day pass for each day they log in. A pass expires at midnight in the agent's time zone (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). Freshworks gives 3 free day passes at signup, with passes from $3 (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  • Business agents for non-IT teams such as HR, facilities, finance and legal, at $49 per agent per month (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Freshservice for Business Teams (Pro) and Freshservice for MSPs (Core) are separate products, each listed at $49 per agent per month billed annually (Freshworks; Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

What each Freshservice plan includes

Growth vs Pro: the boundary that sets most budgets

Pro is where Freshservice becomes a full ITIL service desk: problem, change, release and major incident management are not available on Starter or Growth (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). If your change process runs through CAB approvals, budget for Pro. The step from Growth to Pro more than doubles the per-agent price, from $49 to $99 (€40 to €84).

If you are comparing platforms, check where each one draws this line. Our guide to Jira Service Management pricing covers where Atlassian puts problem and change management.

When Freshservice Enterprise is worth a quote

Freshservice Enterprise has no public price. It adds a sandbox, audit logs, Freddy AI Agent (Classic) and Freddy AI Insights, and lifts orchestration to 20,000 transactions a month (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Ask for a quote if you need a test environment, an audit trail for compliance, or a bundled self-service AI agent. If you are weighing Enterprise against a larger platform, our ServiceNow vs Freshservice comparison sets out the trade-offs.

Freshservice add-ons and usage-based charges

Freshservice add-ons come in two kinds, both billed on top of the plan: per-agent licenses (Freddy AI Copilot, business agents, day passes) and account-level meters (asset units, orchestration, connector tasks). Euro and pound figures are shown where Freshworks publishes them.

Add-on or meterPriceNotes

Asset units: how Freshservice meters IT asset management

Freshworks defines asset units as "Freshservice's licensing metric for IT Asset Management", sold in packs of 500 (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Assets are weighted, so the type of asset matters as much as the count.

Asset typeAsset units per item
Desktop, laptop, mobile or other end-user device1
SaaS user1
Server, virtual machine or network device4
Container or function1/2
Storage (per 5 TB discovered)1/5
Archived device or non-IP physical asset1/25
Mainframe or mid-range system400

Source: Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026.

On those weights, the 100 units included from Growth cover 100 laptops or 25 servers, not both (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). Discovery that pulls in every VM and SaaS user can push you into extra packs quickly. Count units from your current CMDB before you sign. If that CMDB is ServiceNow, our ServiceNow CMDB guide explains how its CI classes are organized.

Freddy AI: what is included and what is not

Freddy AI Copilot is a paid add-on on every plan where it is offered, including Enterprise (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Enterprise includes Freddy AI Agent (Classic) with "1,200 AI Agent (Classic) sessions annually" per Enterprise license. A session counts when a unique user interacts with the AI agent within 24 hours. Past the allowance the agent keeps running and overage charges apply (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Freddy AI Agent Studio, the no-code builder launched on 14 May 2026, is a promotional free service for Growth, Pro and Enterprise customers through 31 December 2026. Freshworks says pricing and packaging "will be shared closer to the end of the promotional period" (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). Treat its 2027 cost as unknown.

Freshservice cost beyond the list price: total cost of ownership

Seats times price is the floor of a Freshservice bill. On our list-price arithmetic, a 25-agent IT team on annual billing pays $5,700 a year on Starter and $29,700 on Pro, before tax, discounts and add-ons (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

25 agents, one yearUSDEUR
Starter$5,700€4,500
Growth$14,700€12,000
Growth + one extra 500-unit asset pack$16,200€13,320
Pro$29,700€25,200
Pro + Freddy AI Copilot for all 25 agents$38,400€33,900

To run the same exercise for a platform sold by custom quote rather than a public price list, see our guide to ServiceNow pricing.

Five factors push the real number up.

1. The Pro threshold. Change or problem management means Pro, and the pricing page lists no add-on that brings them to Growth (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

2. AI that is free today. AI Agent Studio has no published price after 31 December 2026 (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

3. Asset growth. Every server, VM and network device uses 4 units (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). A CMDB that grows with discovery grows the bill.

4. Automation and integration volume. Orchestration packs cost $250 per 1,000 transactions, and API limits are set by plan (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026). Heavy integrations can force an upgrade.

5. Admin and configuration effort. Freshservice scores 4.6/5 from 1,356 G2 reviews. The top complaints are missing features (83 mentions), limited features (56) and limited customization (47), and 27 reviewers call it expensive (G2, as of 29 Sep 2026). Workarounds cost admin time, not license fees.

How to lower your Freshservice bill (and when to act)

Your renewal date is the main lever, because downgrades only take effect at the end of the current billing period (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

  1. Right-size agents before renewal. Move rare log-ins to day passes, and HR or facilities staff to business agent licenses at $49 (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  2. Buy Copilot for the agents who use it. It is priced per agent, so licensing a whole team adds $29 (€29) per head each month (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  3. Archive retired assets. Archived devices use 1/25 of a unit instead of 1 or 4 (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  4. Get the AI Agent Studio price before you depend on it. The free period ends on 31 December 2026 (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). Ask your account manager for 2027 pricing before you sign a renewal.
  5. Quote in your own currency. UK teams should ask for a GBP quote, since annual contracts can be paid in pounds (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).
  6. Negotiate with data. Vendr reports that the median Freshworks buyer pays $15,412 a year, based on 210 purchases, with average savings of 15%. It says 2 to 3 year contracts often save a further 10% to 15%. The data covers all Freshworks products, not Freshservice alone (Vendr, as of 29 Sep 2026; updated February 2026).

If the audit shows a platform your team has outgrown, or one it barely uses, the fix may be a different platform. That is an ITSM migration decision, not a licensing one.

The cost of switching into or out of Freshservice

The license is often the smaller part of switching. The larger cost is moving your service history and rebuilding configuration. Workflows, automations, business rules, SLA policies, canned responses and running SLA timers do not migrate. They are rebuilt on the target and tested before cutover.

Moves (with mapping)Gets rebuilt on the targetAt risk if not planned
Incidents and service requestsWorkflow Automator rules and business rulesLinks between incidents, problems, changes and assets

Assets and CIsOrchestration and integration appsAsset relationship types

Requesters, agents and groupsRoles, groups and assignment rulesAttachments over 40 MB per ticket

The right-hand column is where most help desk migration risks sit, and none of it shows up on a license quote.

Moving into Freshservice

For moves off ServiceNow (see our ServiceNow migration guide), Freshworks describes a demo, full and delta migration, and says custom scripts, business rules and workflows must be inventoried and replicated (Freshworks, as of 29 Sep 2026).

For approved migration partners, Freshservice bulk APIs import tickets and notes only. Each request carries 50 records, each account can send 10 requests per minute, and attachments are capped at 40 MB per entity. Slack, Teams, business rules and workflows "will not be muted", so switch them off before loading data (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). The bulk APIs do not cover problems, changes, assets or knowledge. For those, a migration token raises public API limits to 700 calls per minute for the approved window (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

Plan for oversized files before the load, not after. Our guide to preventing lost attachments during an ITSM cutover covers how.

Moving out of Freshservice

An admin can export the whole service desk as XML from account settings (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026). Ticket list exports to CSV or Excel stop at 10,000 tickets per export, and full conversations need the API or the XML export (Freshservice support, as of 29 Sep 2026).

An XML file is a backup, not a migration: it still has to be mapped to the target's states, priority matrix, groups and CI classes. It pays to audit your legacy help desk data first, so you know what needs mapping and what can stay behind.

You also typically pay for both platforms during test migration, parallel run and hypercare. How long that overlap lasts depends on record volume, attachments, how much configuration must be rebuilt and how many test migrations you run. There is no neutral public benchmark for it, so treat any single figure with care (how long data migration takes explains the drivers). Since cancellations take effect at the end of term, time the cutover, delta sync and reconciliation so go/no-go lands before your renewal date.

Freshservice pricing FAQ

Methodology

We used Freshworks' pricing pages in five languages, its price list dated 13 June 2025, and Freshservice support and API documentation, all checked on 29 September 2026. For contract benchmarks, which Freshworks does not publish, we used Vendr and say so inline. Review data comes from G2. The 25-agent cost table and chart are our arithmetic from list prices, before tax and discounts. We ran no hands-on tests.

About MigrateX

With 20 years in enterprise ITSM, we've seen what breaks when a service desk changes platforms: SLA clocks reset, CI relationships disappear, and years of ticket history get scoped out to protect a go-live date. MigrateX moves that history intact, with tickets, attachments, relationships and audit trails, so your new platform starts with the record your team already trusts.
